The Meer ReflEction Framework

Join Dr. Ye Tao along with Dr. Peter Wadhams, Paul Beckwith, and Regina Valdez for a presentation and conversation on the MEER ReflEction Framework. MEER:ReflEction stands for Mirrors for Earth’s Energy Rebalancing: Resource-driven engineering for leveraging Earth’s chemistries to immediately offer climate remediation.

This video was recorded at COP26, Glasgow, Scotland, in the Durdle Door press conference room on November 3rd, 2021, and published on November 26th, 2021. This presentation is brought to you through a collaboration with FacingFuture.Earth /// FacingFuture.TV.

According to Dr. Tao, temperature rise is the biggest and gravest concern that we face. We are overstepping a heat threshold. Thermal stress decimates biodiversity, ruining aquatic, marine, and terrestrial ecosystems alike. Humans may not be around once we transgress that redline. If we survive, we can have conversations about lowering emissions and deacidification. Prioritize temperature—then worry about greenhouse gases in the atmosphere and carbonic acid in the oceans!
